Which Valves Do I Need?

1. Manual vs Thermostatic (TRV) Valves
   
   Simple and straightforward, manual valves work much like a tap—you adjust them by hand to control the flow of water. Ideal if you prefer a set-and-forget option or if your towel rail is mainly for occasional use.
   
   TRVs automatically regulate the temperature of your towel rail, adjusting the flow of hot water to maintain your chosen heat level. A great choice for improving energy efficiency and keeping your bathroom comfortably warm.
   
   
2. Angled vs Straight Valves (for Underneath Connections)
   
   If your pipework comes out from the wall, you'll need angled valves. These are designed to turn the flow of water through 90 degrees into the towel rail's underside connection.
   
   If your pipework comes up from the floor, you'll require straight valves. These allow water to flow directly upwards into the towel rail’s underneath connections without any bends.
